CreativeTechs QuickTips #CreativeTechs Tutorial Week of November 7, 2005

Tutorial: Protect your web photos.

DEMO | DIAGRAM | Step 1 | Step 2 | Step 3 | OTHER APPROACHES

Step 1: Create a copyright PNG file.

Let's start by creating the copyright notice to place on top of your important images.

Create a new transparent document in Photoshop. Add your copyright information. If you like add a slight watermark image.

Save your file out as a PNG file. PNG is a relatively new web format developed and pushed by Adobe. It supports transparency, and will work with most modern browsers.

[Note: If you prefer maximum compatibility, save your image out as a transparent GIF.]
