Creative Tip: Easy Way to Center Guides in Photoshop.

Here is a quick, easy way to add a centered guide to any Photoshop document:
Choose View > New Guide, and enter a position of 50%.
That’s it. Want to mark the center of your document? Repeat the process twice with both horizontal and vertical guides. This technique works for all percentages, so if you want a guide at 1/3 the width of your image, just enter a percentage of 33%.

There is another way you can do it in one hit. Get the crop tool extend it over the whole area, enable snap too and rulers then drag a guideline to the centre point from top and side. Cancel the crop – done

You don’t really need any tools for doing this at the start. After opening a new document you just need to drag the guides to the centre point and they will snap automatically. Be sure to have ruler and snap both enabled. However, this will not work after you have altered your document anyhow.

Hey if any of you are REALLY interested in this I suggest skip the online tutorials as they only can take you so far. You need to learn quickly and know this program in and out. Video professor is a great way to do it (ref link: http://bit.ly/learning-software ) … So quit stalling people and get to work
