I *would* say that the most well-designed and thought out service on this list is Campaign Monitor. I love everything about them…except their lack of an autoresponder feature. That is the one thing that keeps me from using them.

This was very detailed and helpful, thank you. I do have a follow-up questions, I am not a graphic designer but I do have basic skills with design programs (but not HTML). Is it possible for me to use one of these sights, or do I need to hire an experienced designer? We are a small business and I want to send an email announcing the launch of our website. We might have future emails, but they will be infrequent. Our clients are designers and architects, so it needs to be professional and “design-savvy”

In the email you said, ‘You can enter your own HTML code, but doing so is (frankly) a pain compared to the other services we’ve covered.’ I’m wondering, for ease of use, custom design (I’d love a service to do this for me) etc. what would you recommend? My head is spinning from researching so many sites, and I just need a simple, intuitive site with great customer service.
