December 8th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
I would be very interested in a workshop on how to create webinars. As it seems to be gaining in popularity, it would be fascinating to learn about how and what you have learned along the way, and what you would do differently next time.
December 8th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
Thanks Lisa. We could certainly work up a workshop on how to host online webinars. Anyone want to second that idea? I’d be curious to know how big the demand for that subject could be.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:53 am
I would be very interested in a web design workflow for traditional designers. I’ve been a print designer for 20 years. 65% of my time seems to be web design, which I love, but I just do the home and sub page design in PhotoShop and hand off the layouts to a developer. I end up art directing the developer about the sub page designs. Is there a workflow where I could learn basic web software to help the design process further before handing it off to a web developer? Right now I have lots of free time and our developer has a large back log of work to complete.

Do you have any plans to repeat the “Designing PDF Forms in Adobe InDesign” class that you just held on Dec 10? Alternatively, is it possible to pay and watch the webinar from Dec 10?
December 11th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
@Nicole – I’m glad you asked! We have started recording the webinars so people can watch them later. But there was a glitch recording this webinar (it was a GREAT workshop. I’m so bummed). So we’re planning to run the webinar one more time in December. Stay tuned!
December 12th, 2008 at 12:41 am
December 19th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
The Creating PDF Forms using InDesign workshop was very well done. You went over a ton of content, in a short amount of time, with many useful details, while keeping graceful control over the content and progress.
I would recommend an Advanced PDF Form creation class, one that covers the use of Javascript, some of Ted Padova’s 101 PDF Forms Tips (http://www.creativetechs.com/iq/ted_padovas_101_pdf_forms_tips.html), and design and layout considerations.
December 22nd, 2008 at 10:13 am
I was wondering if you guys could do Adobe Lightroom 2 workshop or tips.
December 22nd, 2008 at 12:23 pm
@Henry – That’s a great suggestion. A number of people have asked about adding an Adobe Lightroom 2 workshop in person as well. Can I ask, what would you like to see covered? Would you want an overview and introduction to using Lightroom? An in-depth look at the color correction tools in Lightroom? Or something else entirely?
December 29th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
Using XML in InDesign….or, would that require more time than a 2 hour workshop?
Anybody out there teaching how to use this function? I have a couple of projects this could be useful for.
January 5th, 2009 at 7:33 am
I would really like to see the webinar on interactive pdfs as I did not know about this site until it was too late to sign up for the one that ran in December.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:31 am
I work for an architectural firm, and I would be interested in a class or classes devoted to architectural presentation techniques in Photoshop.
February 4th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
I’d like to second both what Chris Handley and Katie have requested.
As Chris has done, a lot of graphic designers are having to create web sites, but because we’re traditionally print, not many of us know how to do this. I’d love to see a session on some web software. I also missed out on the Interactive Pdfs which would be great to see again.
Thank you for the consideration!
February 4th, 2009 at 4:36 pm
I second the motion for How to Create Webinars as well as Website Creation Workflow. How about Dreamweaver?
February 4th, 2009 at 5:17 pm
I would definitely like to take a Dreamweaver class too. Please consider this — and html as well. Thanks!
February 9th, 2009 at 12:52 pm
A course on How to make Illustrator work better for you. Another suggestion is a Flash refresher course .
February 12th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
I’d love if you guys could host a Dreamweaver class from the design perspective. Took one from the HTML side and not being an HTML geek, it was difficult. Anytime soon??
Diane
February 12th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
Please, please, please, can you repeat the workshop on font management – it drives me insane!
And what about a workshop on some basic mac housekeeping? Stuff that we should all be doing on a regular basis to keep our macs running, but most of us don’t!
February 23rd, 2009 at 7:08 am
How about a webinar on Project Management Best Practices. Take a typical design project from start to Archived project finish. For example, how do other designers manage the many versions of a client logo that are scattered throughout the hard drive each time a job is packaged for printing. Or when you package an file for output, there are now two copies of the file. Which should get archived and which should get trashed. Most designers have a work flow but little idea if there is something they could be doing better or smarter.
March 19th, 2009 at 9:24 am
I would love to see a class on Illustrator, InDesign, and Flash like you are doing with the PS class.
March 31st, 2009 at 11:25 am
Finally someone who can write a good blog ! I loved your post and will be telling others about it. Subscribing to your RSS feed now. Thanks
April 1st, 2009 at 2:51 pm
Hi! I’m going to add my vote for a Dreamweaver class.. but for someone who is HTML illiterate, from a graphic designer’s perspective who only knows InDesign.. PRETTY PLEASE!!!
Will bake you cookies..
April 2nd, 2009 at 7:29 am
Occasionally I would like to design a font of my own. Need a class on designing fonts. Fontographer used to be available for Mac users, but I don’t know what is now.
April 6th, 2009 at 6:12 am
It would be great if you could offer the color management workshop as an online download — I just had a friend ask about it.
April 7th, 2009 at 7:57 am
I’d love a class on Illustrator CS3/4. I have been using it for a while, but started out doing vector work in Freehand, and constantly find myself frustrated by things that were easy in Freehand but seem overly complex in Illustrator. I also find some of AI more complex functionality unnecessary, so maybe I just don’t know how to put it to good use.
April 7th, 2009 at 8:08 am
It would be great if you could offer the color management workshop again.
I heard it was done April first, but I found about it on April sixth.
or maybe an online download would be easier.
April 9th, 2009 at 8:39 am
I’d like a class in Illustrator CS4, Flash, and Dreamweaver.
PS CS4 is terrific.
April 13th, 2009 at 9:53 am
I’m with the former poster on this one, some Flash and Dreamweaver would be awesome
And perhaps a little 411 on creating templates for phpBB forums as well as templates for blogs. The “free” templates are never that exciting so I’d like to create my own.
April 13th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
You had mentioned a Flash webinar to be held after Photoshop and before InDesign–where can we sign up?
I’m interested in some in-depth Font Management.
April 16th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
I would love to learn Flash animation.
Thank you for hosting the PS webinar – it’s packed with great tips!
April 17th, 2009 at 9:53 am
I would be very interested in a workshop on how to create webinars.
And Flash.
And how to create Newsletters.
I absolutely love the Photoshop course your holding now, thank you!!
April 21st, 2009 at 4:25 pm
A mini workshop that focused on monitor calibration and font management would be much appreciated.
April 24th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
I would LOVE a course on Flash Animation.
April 29th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
The photoshop course is excellent. I will be watching it over and over to absorb all the great tips.
I would love to see a course featuring Dreamweaver and Illustrator.
April 30th, 2009 at 10:46 am
Hi, Craig and David.
Long time, no hear. I’m so glad things are going successfully for all of you. I’m thrilled to hear about these online classes and how well they’re going. I just signed up for InDesign starting in May.
I’m about to sign up for a fairly expensive 2-day Illustrator class. As someone else mentioned above, I used to “work in Freehand, and constantly find myself frustrated by things that were easy in Freehand but seem overly complex in Illustrator.”
Any chance you’ll be offering an IA class online in the near future? Any chance you could respond to this question by the first part of May? Thanks!
May 2nd, 2009 at 7:12 am
hello
a course in flash would be absolutely brilliant, i know this is in high demand
May 4th, 2009 at 2:47 pm
Workshop on Illustrator
May 7th, 2009 at 10:29 am
I would love an Illustrator course.
May 7th, 2009 at 11:03 am
Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, and whatever other components are necessary for web design
May 13th, 2009 at 4:02 pm
Have you guys thought about an Illustrator course? I’d just love one!
Thanks!
May 14th, 2009 at 9:45 am
I would like CS4 Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
May 18th, 2009 at 5:20 am
1. Beginner’s Illustrator Course
2. Advanced InDesign, i.e. using the Book Panel, creating complex TOCs, creating complex Index, Problems with Transparency, etc.
I Use InDesign CS3 for PC.
May 18th, 2009 at 10:54 pm
I say YEA!! to Flash.
May 24th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
I would LOVE to see a Dreamweaver course!!
A fireworks one also… but mainly a Dreamweaver one!
May 28th, 2009 at 9:28 am
Illustrator CS4 please! In-depth study of all the little complexities and tips to master the pen tool to create smooth shapes and curves…
May 29th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
I’d love a Flash and XML course, but during very early morning, at night or weekend. Hard to get that time off in the middle of a work day.
June 2nd, 2009 at 2:43 pm
I would really love for there to be a class on Adobe After Effects, I think it would be beneficial to many including myself. I just signed up for the flash class.
June 3rd, 2009 at 9:44 am
We’d love something on Dreamweaver.
And – maybe iDVD/Garage Band.
Thanks. You guys are great!
June 5th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
I would love to see a Dreamweaver series…I love your webinars I am really excited about Illustrator and Flash. I have learned a ton in the InDesign one. Keep up the awesome work.
June 8th, 2009 at 9:20 am
I know it´s mostly design, but I´d love a good cs4 premiere workshop, I know how to use it, but I really could use your tips.
June 8th, 2009 at 11:54 am
I use InDesign to design books and magazines for print. I use the Table of Contents features a bit–but each time (I admit!) it’s a mystery to me. I think I know how to get what I want but as often as not it’s something else that requires me to do a lot of tweaking. I would appreciate a session in how to create and use TOC styles, etc. I also have used the Index features of InDesign, but less often. A session on indexing (say, from pretty simple, such as proper nouns only, to a bit more complex) would really be useful. Thanks! These are terrific classes. You are making a wonderful contribution to the whole world!
June 8th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
From reading the comments I think you have already had a workshop on Photoshop elements 6. Are you going to do it again?
This is the first time I have been on this site and I am very impressed.
June 8th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
I would LOVE a workshop on Bridge! I know it has a lot of potential, but I don’t know where to start!
June 8th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
P.S. I know there was some chatter at one point about doing a workshop on digital scrapbooking. I’d be happy to help out with good links, etc. if you decide to go that route.
June 8th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
I am enjoying the InDesign webinar. Being mostly self taught in ID I would really enjoy seeing how a professional sets up a layout template for a multipage document (like a newsletter or magazine) using master pages, libraries, layers, placeholders, etc. Also the workflow for placing data using Bridge. Thanks.
June 8th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Quickbooks Pro 2009! We designers need to know how to use accounting software so that we can get the fruits of our work! Thanks so much.
June 8th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
I would love a Dreamweaver class!!! I know nothing about web design but desperately need to learn how to design a simple website.
Also, thanks for these classes! I recently moved to Hungary (from Seattle) and am glad to see you are offering worldwide classes!
-Diane
June 11th, 2009 at 10:05 am
Would also love the Dreamweaver class. And an advanced class thereafter.
Indesign advanced class would be great, including things like scripting, hyperlinks, and so on. Building ebooks, using xml and the like.

It would be great to see a class that brings together InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator by showing us how to make things easier when creating a newsletter, brochure, magazine layout, posters etc.
Really enjoying the InDesign webinars! You guys are doing a fantastic job!
June 12th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
HTML/CSS e-mail newsletters and promo emails – how to properly build a template, DOs & DON’Ts of HTML mail, how to avoid spam folders, and weird display behavior of different email clients or browsers.
Creative Techs had a great little guide explaining pros and cons of several available e-newsletter services, and it would be nice to expand tips on this subject. Just cutting and pasting HTML of my JPG “flyer” into the body of an email is rarely a perfect solution.
June 15th, 2009 at 5:28 am
I think you would be swarmed if you ran a webinar on how to make a Wordpress template. May be one to accomodate a photo gallery, one to accomodate a news update page-like a simple magazine style page. I cannot find that anywhere on the internet. You can find plenty of tutorials that tell you how to make a template. but none that then show you what’s different about the template and how it was created. By that i mean an example.
June 15th, 2009 at 7:33 am
Great suggestions everyone! Keep ‘em coming!
June 17th, 2009 at 10:22 am
PhotoShop course please, pretty please?
June 17th, 2009 at 7:18 pm
A dreamweaver course would be amazing. This project is great, thanks for giving back so much!
June 21st, 2009 at 8:01 am
I’m a newbie to Adobe CS3. Will there be a workshop, tip page, course this summer?
June 24th, 2009 at 7:01 am
I vote for a Dreamweaver class! Thanks for offering these workshops.
June 29th, 2009 at 9:45 am
I have used PS Elements 3,5,7. Basic & seldom. Just acquired PS CS4. Pay $32.50/mth for Lynda’s tutorials, & $99.00 for Photoshop Elements Techniques. Your live interactive learning approach is like (better then)attending a graduate school level course in Computer Science, and I have 2 MS in CS. I attend all your classes even those that I do not use, as with Adobe the concepts are so often transferable within the CS family.
From Hawaii but now living in Ocala, FL with my Son. I am 79 yrs, with Alzheimer’s. I use the graphic programs to challenge and stimulate my mind. Use it or Lose it. Until I returned to the PC I could not dial the phone. The Real-Time interactive format you offer grabs and holds the learner like NO static tutorial could ever do, regardless of quality. Cost of lesson to practice what you have experienced makesthem the BEST value on the Internet. I am very greatfull for your generosity in the free sessions. Live on food stamps but will purchase the full PS course 8/4 when the SS check arrives. Thanks again, Tom Tracy
June 29th, 2009 at 11:19 am
I’d love to see you set up a webinar for DreamWeaver! I’ve been working in DreamWeaver MX4 and just loaded the CS4 version and it’s just enough different it’s got my head spinning!
July 7th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
I would love a class on Corel Painter…
July 9th, 2009 at 9:59 am
I would love to see a Fireworks class. It doesn’t seem that intense, but I think it would be a good followup to the other Adobe products since it seems to combine features of many. Your classes have been infinitely valuable! Thanks for everything!
July 15th, 2009 at 12:22 pm
I would absolutely love a class on using flash in photography & know countless other people that would sign up too. There are not many courses available online that specifically deal with the subject in detail & because it seems complex, it would be great to have a live webinar, where we can ask questions if we don’t understand what’s being taught- something we wouldn’t get from just reading a book. Thanks for all the other amazing courses you’re offering Creativetechs rocks!
July 17th, 2009 at 9:05 am
I would love a Fireworks class and a Wordpress.org class to learn to build a wordpress site from sratch, all customized.
thank you, great classes you offer!
July 21st, 2009 at 12:18 pm
Hi,
and realised that I missed first day.
I’d really love to check last week’s photography workshop as I have just joined this amazing source of wisdom
Thank you and congrats for such a wonderful place!
July 22nd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Has anyone downloaded the videos? What format are they in (.mov, .avi, etc…)?
July 28th, 2009 at 6:09 am
Many of us only have the baby photoshop, Photoshop Elements 6 or such. I never see any training for us novices who haven’t the big stuff. Any plans or suggestions for us. Thanks, Joe
August 3rd, 2009 at 11:03 am
I would love to get a class on pure css layout for web. I’m trapped in my table layout background!
August 5th, 2009 at 12:01 pm
I really would like a workshop on Adobe Flex Builder 3. Thank you so much for your great work!!
August 9th, 2009 at 11:09 am
I think all your workshops are fantastic. I have done Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, Digital Photography and plan on attending the Dreamweaver workshop in September. I love them all. I would really like a workshop for Adobe After Effects which I think would be great. Thanks for all your dedication and hard work to provide world class training. I will forever be attending your classes.
August 11th, 2009 at 11:35 am
An After Effects workshop would make me so happy
August 12th, 2009 at 5:20 am
I second Sethry. I would love to learn more about CSS. I’ve thought myself the basic, but would like to learn best practices and more advance coding. Thank you!
August 12th, 2009 at 5:31 am
Oh yes! CSS. But Please, something a beginner can follow – start slow!
August 12th, 2009 at 7:15 am
Definitely a CSS workshop would be great! Probably a couple to go from extreme basics to more in-depth coverage and working with other mediums.
Also, I know you did this in the past but it would be nice to see an updated webinar on creating an in house photo library using Bridge. I don’t know if a lot has changed with CS4 but a refresher on this would be great.
August 12th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
Ct- you rock, and now i’m desperately seeking: Fireworks CS4 with a focus on site planning, prototyping and finally interfacing with Dreamweaver and Flash(all cs4). There is nothing out there of any worthwhile substance. we need you creativetechs!
August 12th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
Just learned about your site. I’ve signed up for Photoshop and Dreamweaver but am really bummed about missing Illustrator. Any plans to rerun it?
August 18th, 2009 at 4:08 am
Please, Please could you do another illustrator course, I missed tha last one and would really like to grips with illustrator.
August 22nd, 2009 at 6:49 am
An in-depth course on composition please!
August 26th, 2009 at 1:20 pm
I’d be really interested in a typography class. There is so much more to it than “meets the eye”. And managing fonts? Yikes! Needing help here.
September 15th, 2009 at 7:58 pm
I see you have started a class on Lightroom. How about a class in Aperture? Also a class in workflow would be a big help.
September 20th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
I would love to watch a PublisherPro course or as tughela gino said, an Adobe Illustrator course would be awesome!!
September 25th, 2009 at 6:34 am
I would also be very interested in a workshop on how to create webinars
October 15th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
How about Digital painting fundamentals with Corel Painter X?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:59 pm
How about a course on Photoshop Elements?
How about putting it in the evening for us working slaves?
October 19th, 2009 at 6:15 am
Our Creative Services team would like to create ‘peel downs’ for use on our website. They recently completed the Flash course and learned a lot from it. We are using peel downs on our site now, but they’re only available for IE users, so we’d like to be able to create them and in addition, make them visible for Firefox users. Thanks!
October 19th, 2009 at 2:48 pm
Lots and lots of Photoshop Elements 6
November 3rd, 2009 at 1:12 am
Indesign, more indesign Please.
November 24th, 2009 at 11:46 am
Another Photography and Illustrator webinar please and After Effects would be nice too.
December 3rd, 2009 at 7:19 am
Designing for the new ebooks for kindle, nook and others to come next year.
December 9th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
I would love to learn about painter in general (LAYERS in particular).
December 10th, 2009 at 8:56 am
I would like to see a workshop for HTML email design. My company has been getting into this area fast and furious and since we’re all newbies to the web design world, it would great to learn more about it.
January 6th, 2010 at 8:46 pm
what about another Digital photography course spending more time on the best settings, lens and flash used for day & night shots (e.g. day at beach, night party group shots, etc.) in order to capture the moment, with better results.
Thank you
January 23rd, 2010 at 11:21 am
I would like to learn SEO. Would appreciate, if there is a course on SEO
Thanks
Jay
February 8th, 2010 at 9:57 am
I would like to see a series of classes on Painter. Is that on the horizon?
March 1st, 2010 at 8:24 am
More advanced training for web design using Dreamweaver and CSS.
March 6th, 2010 at 7:57 am
I would also be interested in a Dreamweaver webinar, or one of your great screen shot blog entrees would be so helpful.
