Is it possible to find out if this course different from the one offered in 2009? Thanks

    • Craig Swanson says:

Shelly, this course is a completely different approach to teaching Flash from our first Flash class in 2009. This is much more project-based, and focused on the types of real-world issues designers are likely to face.

We’ll see what people think of this.

  8. ruth says:

will this course be basic enough for a beginner w/o having taken the the 2009 course?

    • efadiman says:

Ruth, this course will be difficult if you have no prior Flash Knowledge.
It is assumed that you know how the timeline works, how to make a button symbol, and how to make a movieClip symbol

  9. Megan Seymour says:

Time doesn’t work for me. Way too late in the day for Central Time.

  10. Debby says:

REALLY wish the time was either earlier or later! Looks like I will catch the Q&A only.

  18. artiepants says:

Hey there ~ do you think someone still on Flash CS3 can get much out of the class? (we usually skip every other CS upgrade at my shop…)

  19. Mary says:

It is my understanding that we might be able to purchase the Flash files that are used in the class exercises prior to the classes. How do we go about making that purchase? Typically the classes are only available after the class has taken place.

    • CT-Sara says:

The files will be available to you in advance when you purchase the entire course by using the “Buy Full 10-Week Course” button above. We are not selling individual classes at this time.

  20. Pearl Beeds says:

Cool, there is actually some good points on here some of my readers will maybe find this relevant, will send a link, many thanks.

  21. jesscs3 says:

If I buy this course, will the files work on CS3? I understand that there may be some limitations, but if they still work, I’d like to purchase. Thanks.

    • CT-Sara says:

Unfortunately, due to the differences in tweening in CS3 and CS4, the exercise files for this course are only available in CS4 format, they will not open in CS3. You may still find the course useful if you have CS3 and can understand how to translate tweening operations in CS4 to CS3.
