John has been inspirational. He is so down to earth. I’m very glad he is having a regular course. I’m out of work as a graphic designer and my love of photography is really coming to the surface.

Thanks for all your training. Have to learn web also.

I am so glad John’s class is being expanded. was dreading the end of it. he is experienced, happy to share and does so in a fun and entertaining way. thank you.

just to make sure, is there no gotowebinar for this, “only” the livefeed?

  3. Betty Ann says:

I’m loving the class…. learning so much about how to use my Fuji point and shoot to get some great shots.
You mentionned you were taking ideas for future topics.
    well….
like the photoshop course covering creative ideas for Christmas gifts, could we have a class on photography for creative gift-giving… just expand our minds to the possibilities of what we can make with photographs, etc. What’s out there, what’s possible to produce from a photo. I’m thinking of software to take a photo and produce a cross stitch pattern for our non computer-savvy craft friends, or printing a photo on fabric… what kind of settings are necessary to get a photo to print well on fabric (lots of contrast?) what kind of shots to take for what kind of projects? Inspire us to take photos and create projects, gifts and memories!

John Greengo Photography Show was great!!!! John is a natural teacher/interviewer/photographer.

I think the show should be called “groTV” for numerous reasons, all of which have to do with ‘learning’ and being in the right place at the right time – how John has grown from one experience to the next, and how he makes that information available to us via the essential compounding of spontaneity that naturally happens in his mind as he relives his experiences with a goal to creating outstanding, feature rich, photography lessons, tip and tricks.

    Go, John!! Go!!

  5. Martin says:

enjoyed the webinar… as a self-taught amateur photographer, it is good to find something semi-interactive to take part in… there is only so many photography books you can read before you brain turns to mush!!! john’s approach to the subject is enlightening, instructive and obviously a great passion to him (along with the cross-country running)…

and his skills have shown me that i still have a long way to go and a lot more to learn before the end… KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, MR GREENGO!!!

(and i try to advertise the creative techs stuff on flickr as much as i can… have creative techs thought of starting something on there??? just a thought… :D )

  6. Caroline says:

I was a big fan of Art Wolfe’s Travel to the Edge, but could not find it on a TV schedule anywhere, so looked it up on line. Was shocked to find out he was here in Seattle, where I am, and that his studio gave lessons! I was lucky enough to sign up for a 90 minute class that was taught by none other than John Greengo, right before this class launched.

What a great teacher he is! I have been completely unable to understand the technology in book form (unusual for me), but he makes it all so easy!

With a wonderful sense of humor, a great understanding of the materials, and a genuine interest in seeing that YOU understand the material, this is a perfect medium for the budding photographer to engage in.

    Thanks!

    Caroline

  7. Roxann says:

I may not be reading the schedule correctly but is there a time conflict between Rozanne Olsen’s class and the John Greengo Show? Both on Wednesday, yes? Could you please confirm the correct times for each?

  8. Gordon says:

Is the show still open to anyone who would like to come to the show in person?

  9. Jeremy says:

In the podcast for S. Georgia Island, John says he wishes Canon had a longer cable on their timer/release (Art was trying to shoot pictures of the penguins using the camera and a monopod).

There is a 33′ cable extension for this release:

English is not my mother tongue.

Episode #011 was superb. It was the most helpful resource that I have found for Full Frame vs. APS. Many thanks.
