  1. Mike Phenicie says:

    I have 2 questions.
    1) Would I benefit from the class if I have an iPod Touch instead of an iPhone?
    2) Do I need a Mac, or is a PC OK?

    thanks,

    Mike

    • CT-Sara says:

      1. Yes.

      2. A PC is fine for building web apps, so you’ll get something out of the first 4 weeks. But, in order to build Native Apps (Feb 2), you need a Mac.

I am interested in the program and have enrolled myself for the same. I am a web developer but have no experience in iPhone applications development. My current skill set includes JavaScript, PHP, jQuery, AJAX, MySQL etc. I just wanted to know, what all the technologies should I get acquainted with before attending the training session?

    • CT-Sara says:

The skills you’ve listed are fine. Plus, you may want to learn a bit of CSS if you don’t have experience with that.

  5. KrazeeBrod says:

I do not have an iPhone or iPod but want to learn to design for them. Is this possible if I don’t have one of those devices? If it is, how would I test the site or application to see if it is working or designed properly??

    • Mike Meyer says:

You can do a lot of your testing with the desktop Safari browser, which is available on the Mac or PC. However, it’s good to have at least an iPod touch for your final testing, as you want to make sure the pages are properly detecting the iPhone device and adjusting for the smaller screen.

I would like to enroll but since I enrolled in the December session, I get an error message, saying my email is already on the list. Will I get an invite automatically, it’s not really clear.
    Thanks

    • Craig Swanson says:

Everyone in the December “Sneak Peek” class is automatically enrolled in the full edition that starts this week.

    Hi,

Is it possible to participate in the webinar using an iPhone?

I missed the first session (busy-busy, on the road), and participating via iPhone would be most helpful.
