Jan 27, Week 3 – Strobes (non TTL power packs and heads).

Feb 10, Week 5 – Combining TTL Flash plus Continuous/Natural Light.

About Rosanne Olson
Rosanne Olson has worked as a photographer for more than 25 years. She has an early background in science and art, after which she received a master’s degree in journalism. Over the years she has worked in various photographic arenas including fine art, photo journalism and commercial advertising. She has taught workshops and classes at Santa Fe Photo Workshops, Photographic Center Northwest, and the University of Washington.
In 2008 her book This is Who I Am—Our Beauty in All Shapes and Sizes was published by Artisan Books in New York.

Will the class be streamed via a live site or a site that I have to purchase a license to use?
Marie, the LIVE classes are free to attend. We use GoToWebinar and Ustream to stream the live events. Both of those are free to use for you.

is there going to be nude pictures??? because I’m 100% AGAINST that!!!!
Dear KellyChevy101,
I am not planning to photograph nudes for my lighting class. But I may mention my book at some point–to illustrate that simple lighting can be very effective.

I, like kellychevy101 who posted above, will appreciate that you aren’t using nudes and that I don’t have to be exposed to nudes during your class. Thanks. I am very much looking forward to the class. John Greenco and Art Wolfe have been introducing us to the importance of lighting in our photography and have been teaching us some principles. I’m excited to delve into the subject with you in greater depth.

I would love to try out this course however the times just won’t work for me. Will the courses be recorded so that we would be able to watch them at a different time?

Would love to enroll but have the same question as Melissa will these be recorded for later viewing. I’m in Australia and the course starts at 6am, busy getting kids up and ready for school at this time.
Can I register even if I am a UK resident? The times might not work for me either so if there any chance I could watch it later?
I am launching my photography in a more professional way at the moment and could really do with getting more and more knowledge on that particular subject.

I would like to take this course, but the time is during the time I am teaching in high school. Will a webinar be offered in the midwest during the evening?
I am excited to take your course.
Will there be kitty care? If cats aren’t kept entertained they will gnaw the cables of life until we all become completely dependent, in route to a world with kitties in control!
I’m afraid you’ll need to provide your own kitty care. I find that a roll of yarn and a bag of catnip will keep a cat occupied for the duration of a our class.
I enrolled but I also realized I am not around during the times. Are you recording these classes? The classes look awesome and I would hate to miss them.

Did the class day change? If so, waaaahhhh! Because I could have sworn they were on Tuesdays, not Wed which doesn’t work for me.
