The TTL (dedicated) flash is one that easily works in conjunction with one’s camera to light the subject. It is relatively easy to use without much instruction. HOWEVER, all of the lessons on strobe and continuous light will lead the photographer to an understanding about how to light with TTL flash to create beautiful and creative results.

Progressing from continuous light to strobes, we explore the differences between the two and observe some of the light modifiers that create catch lights as found in magazines. Doing this will give depth to the understanding of lighting. Many photographers do not work with strobes in their normal photography endeavors, but an understanding of how they work can lead to the ultimate goal of creating beautiful light. This is an important step in the continuum of lighting concepts.
